The Alley Cat Lounge has been around since the 1940s, when the elite of Milwaukee would grace the upstairs club with their presence, either through the front door or by sneaking in through the hidden door in the back. Not wanting to be seen, some customers referred to ring the hidden buzzer, as the door was immediately opened and they were ushered into one of the hottest clubs in town. Today, the renovated lounge is still entertaining its guests, and the buzzer still remains, although only the front door is used now.

The Alley Cat Lounge is located upstairs from the dining area of the Five O’Clock Steakhouse. Managing partner Stelio Kalkounos wanted to mix the old with the new, which pays tribute to the lasting success of the lounge while incorporating touches from both past and present. The area is used to house live music events, and can also be used or rented for a private dining area for functions. Seating, a stage, internet, projector, specialized menu, and much more are offered for your special event. Come listen to some smooth jazz or popular band on Friday nights at the popular lounge.
