A fantastic evening unfolded as a Taste of the Near West Side dinner and event was hosted on September 28, 2016. The event was the final announcement of the winner of the inaugural Rev-Up MKE small business competition, with Pete’s Pops taking the crown. Eight finalists were in attendance, and many joined them for a festive evening, complete with a complimentary food samples and drinks from the popular Five O’Clock Steakhouse, which is a staple of Milwaukee.
The Five O’Clock Steakhouse has been an active participant in the community, participating in this special dinner along with other Near West Side restaurants, as well as neighborhood initiatives, and fundraisers and community service work to help fight hunger, or even raise money for the humane society. The famous steakhouse is part of the many great entrepreneurs of the Near West Side and they continue to support their beloved city and community as a family owned and run business.
